I want to get my thanks in before I collapse- that went really, really, well and was incredibly fun! We couldn't have done it without all you volunteers, there were all sorts of things we hardly had to think about because we had good people doing it for us. And thanks to everyone who came and gave us money- we took in pretty much enough to build the whole project!

Sun, June 5, 2005 - 11:51 AMYes--thanks to everyone who pulled that one off!
Well worth skipping the beach.
Who the hell make that plum pudding thing? That was CWAZY good!
As were the flaming bon-bons. My only regrets were that I didn't get to try the creme brulee and other flaming goodies. But hey, I guess we should get greedy... -

Umm, I meant "shouldn't"...but sometimes the truth comes out.

Re: Tastee Flame thanks you!
Sun, June 5, 2005 - 6:37 PMI missed the plum pudding and the bon bons entirely!
That's ok, cuz I loved the
black pepper strawberries
fruit kabobs
coconut fruit salad
creme brulee
cherries jubilee
rum soaked chocolate cake...
Ugh, I'm all sugared out.
Oh yeah, and bartending was a blast! As was the whole event. Thanks for letting me participate! -

Re: Tastee Flame thanks you!
Mon, June 6, 2005 - 12:55 AMThe "rum soaked chocolate cakes" are the puddings in question, I believe. Apparently, it's this weird english sort of steamed pudding that has nothing at all to do with "goo in a bowl"... I don't really know how Matt makes them, but they *are* damn tasty! -

Re: Tastee Flame thanks you!
Mon, June 6, 2005 - 9:14 AMah, cake shaped pudding, eh? Well you're right, those things were damn tasty!
I wonder if we might be able to convince the chefs to share their recipies... I would love to try and recreate some of those things.

Sun, June 5, 2005 - 7:41 PMThanks to you all for a great party - as expected a great combination of music and flaming good times!
What were those caramel fondue treats we were eating about 2 am - they were Yummy!
And thanks Lorien for the cheese sammiches :) I'm glad I got one before I left! -
-
Re: Tastee Flame thanks you!
Mon, June 6, 2005 - 9:01 AMThose caramel treats were marshmallow-toffee bonbons created by Ross. I got to taste them pre and post flaming. And boy were they tasty!

Mon, June 6, 2005 - 9:27 AMYes, thank you Ian and Morley and crue. A wonderful time. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. And so happy that you now don't have to stress about how to pay for the project, and can move on to stressing about how to finish the project.
