No matter, though. The mercaptan will burn up and leave the food smelling like... food. -

When it gets low it can smell like acetone too, but you're never supposed to let it get to that point. -

Tue, May 31, 2005 - 6:09 PMI'm pretty sure that that's just how acetylene smells - and it's worse than ass in my opinion.
I believe way way back when they actually added acetylene to natural gas as an early odorizer. I also read that they used nitrobenzene as an odorizer way back when too...sweet!!! ;) -

Fri, June 3, 2005 - 9:03 PMBy the way, I just realized I have two acy regulators but NO oxy regulator (I lost a bunch of regs when Rogue burned). So I'm going to need to either buy one ASAP (probably not enough time), or someone will need to bring an Oxy regulator..
