What: Help build Dance Dance Immolation! (www.interpretivearson.com)
We need to get a beta version together for the Fire Arts Festival
next weekend (July 14-17)!
Where: NIMBY in Oakland (www.nimbyspace.org for directions)
When: Saturday and Sunday, July 9th and 10th
10 am until whenever (we'll be here until at least 10pm)
Hopefully we'll get LOTS done Saturday so we can go play some DDR on Sunday in Milpitas!
Things to bring with you:
Work gloves
Clothes that can get dirty
Close-toed shoes
Snacks
Energy
We have all the necessary tools. Appreciated skills include carpentry, graphic design, metalworking, general building/hammering/drilling, sewing.
Tasks to be completed: finish building one dance pad, build a video screen/frame, design a logo, build three flamethrowers with stands and pointy bits, assemble ignitors, sew nomex safety flaps into proximity suits, build player control panel box, create signs, and much much more!

But assuming you're not just pulling our legs, you saw the other thread about this, right? We've reached the HOLY SHIT! stage and the field trip has fallen victim to our need to accomplish an insane amount in the next week. -

We could still use another volunteer or two. We have REALLY fun stuff for you to work on, I promise! Woodworking, metalworking, electronics, building flamethrowers, building stands for stuff, helping with dance pads...
