Anyone who is interested can help us run this crazy thing on the playa. We have positions that require no advance training, some advance training, or a full battle run-down, take your pick.

Things we need volunteers for:

-Dressers: Potentially the flirtiest job. Put people in prox suits! You will be given very specific directions as to how to put the suits on correctly. Great opportunity to take advantage of folks' fear and put your hands down their pants. This takes training, as you need to know how to do it right.

-Gate/Signups: You have all the power. You sign up people to play. (Note: We're not really taking bribes and we're going to do signups in a pretty even-handed way, starting a round of signups at the top of the hour or half-hour). You are also in charge of explaining over and over and over that YES that's real fire and YES they can play and NO they can't play in a mumu and platforms. Minimal training, right at the beginning of your shift.

-Perimeter: You are our personal badass. Be a motherfucker. Be mean. Be angry. Be effective. Carry a radio and a big stick and poke at the ravers. No training required, just attitude.

-Ventillation/Sound hook-in: You will hook each player into the ventillation and sound system, and then you will look them square in the eye and say "good luck, don't be scared, and press the red button when you decide you are too much of a pansy to play." You're the last thing they see before the helmet is closed. Muaahahahhahaha. Probably also a really good opportunity to flirt and/or mess with people. Training required, in a minimal sort of way.

-Operator: Well, if you've built the system and you know EVERYTHING about it, you can be an operator. If someone really wants to do this, then come to NIMBY and live there for the next week, and you'll learn :)


Our core crew will likely bring 2-3 people per night. This means we need 3-4 volunteers per night, hopefully. Signups below!
