As you guys know, the BORG2 Art Vote will end on the night between Saturday and Sunday, no earlier than midnight, at about the time I stumble back home from the DDI fundraiser sober enough to turn off the voting.
So, I had a better idea. How about we make the DDI fundraiser the official BORG2 election return night as well? Instead of doing it all alone at home in my underwear, we could have some kind of closing ceremony at the fundraiser where I turn off the vote after midnight and then get flamed or something.
This might attract a larger BORG2 crowd to the fundraiser. And since BORG2 doesn't have anything going on that night and I am in charge of running the voting site and I am going to be at the Cracktory anyway, I don't think they will object.
What do you think?

I'd vote for DDI in the election, but despite repeatedly signing up (well, attempting to - it's assures me each time that I'm already on the list) I've never received a single e-mail from BORG2 and have never been able to vote. Sigh. I feel so disenfranchised! -

Fri, June 3, 2005 - 6:06 PMOk, I spammed the BORG2 tribe with it. Now all I need is a computer of some sort. If we can hook it up to the DDR project for periodic updates every hour or so and when we display the final results and close the vote, it would be the cat's pijamas.

I'm thinking the living room would be a better location for the election results. Better projector, wireless mic to make announcements. And the computer that's running the visuals in that room will, I believe, be a laptop that can connect to a wireless network, assuming the cracktory has wireless... -
